Roadwater Village Trust was established by deed on 25th January 1995 to run both the hall and recreation ground. The hall itself was endowed in 1928 by its architect, Norman Reckitt of Golsoncott House and the recreation ground, formerly Day’s Meadow, was gifted to the village by Captain John Bridges of Croydon Hall in the same year.
The trust also maintains the two decommissioned red telephone boxes in the village, one of which currently functions as a book exchange, the other contains a jigsaws and children's books.
An active fundraising committee put on regular events throughout the year including a Big Breakfast every other month. The trust committee meets six times a year and its AGM is held in March.
The Trust Deed and list of committee members can be viewed below.
Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a committee member, helping with fundraising events or would like to organise an event at the hall.
